Oddity of the Week: Wasp Baroque fingertips

Collections d'Abiose gothic wasp baroque fingertipsThis pretty little touch of evil comes from Montreal designer Ann d’Abiose, who designs intricate gothic necklaces, gloves, and headbands. These fingertips have an antique silver finish, like everything she sells, and are adjustable, with stones available in various colors. A full set would make quite an elegant plaything for the darkling sensualist. You have to email her for a price, but going from her Custom page, she’s very reasonable for this kind of work. (and don’t miss her About Me page for a full shot of her fabulous chainmail sleeves.)

Sticks Stones N Beyond rune setLovely handcrafted altar tools and home decor from pagan craftworkers. This is an excellent source for wands, which they’ve divided into themes: unicorn, elvin, mushroom, ivy, runic, and others, and custom requests are welcomed. Their handiwork also appears in the “faery lot” divination sets, cedar runes, and housewares smothered in Celtic knotwork. Other items: oil caddies, charm bags, herbal candles, and spell kits, and as of this writing, pagan cat toys are on the way.

The packaging is wonderfully artistic: bath salts encased in “pixie sticks” or retro-decorated glass jars, fizzing skulls and flowers in Chinese takeout boxes, sparkling body balms and butters in old-fashioned slider tins(remember those?) Also herbal soap bars, bindis, manifestation bowls, and Morningstar incense.

Oddity of the Week: Graveyard hair ornaments

7.16.2003 @ 1:00 am UTC by lilah wild

Ghoulie Babies and Glamour Vamps graveyard hair ornament
Ghoulie Babies and Glamour Vamps has been known for the handiwork of Lady Nemesis, who creates gleefully morbid one-of-a-kind gothic dolls and has now started designing bat sachets, evening bags, sparkly brooches, and hair ornaments. If you’ve ever wanted to wear a miniature cemetery on your head, this piece features bones, skulls, and a little gravestone among silk flowers, rose buds, and black silk ribbon, mounted on a silver clip. This particular one is currently reserved, but Lady Nemesis is “happy to make little individual
cemeteries for anyone who might want them. Being handmade they will all
be different and unique.” The other ornaments are worth checking out too if you’d like something a little more glam or fae(or you’d like to go more extreme and get one with a severed finger), as they all drip with froof, and for those of you on a budget, they’re a great deal at nine dollars a pop, which includes shipping.
