Dogpile has been in business since 1988, and besides sticking with classic punk designs, there’s something else we like about them: they HATE Hot Topic!! Along with catching on to the fact that corporate-manufactured trends have done more to defang “harmful” music beyond the PMRC’s wildest dreams(“Believe me, you keep supporting that corporate mall chain, and yer gonna wind up answering to the likes of MTV and soft drink companies!!!”) they also have a tendency to deck their models out in endearingly ugly Halloween masks. Oh yeah and they do plaid bumflaps, gauze longsleevers, striped “Ramone” shirts, chunky-zip miniskirts, D-ring blouses, and, of course, bondage pants.
