Long, full skirts hiked up at the sides make for a wonderful look of antiquity, but often result in hems falling down or safetypins stabbing the crap out of your clothes. Threads of Time have solved the problem with medieval technology, pinching fabric between polished brass rings that loop around a belt. The pic shows period usage, but would probably work very nicely over pyramid studs for the swirlygoths.
