Black Corset Candles, a relatively new webshop that aims to inject a little sensuality into waxwork, have actually been at this biz for about eight years and spurn paraffin in favor of soy. Their creations come in a variety of cute packages, and the industrial-chic silver tin pictured above is their “One Night Stand” travel candle. And going from the black raspberry & vanilla blend they picked out for us, the scents are quite delicious when lit up. The travel candles run five bucks a pop, and you can choose the cheaper route of two-dollar votives or splash out on a glass container festooned with tiny handcuffs.

A superstore of indie parenting goodies, from tattoo nursing tanks to retro wooden toys, Sky King 1936 replica tricycles to pop art changing pads. Cribs, strollers, slings, bibs, with plenty to blend in with punk and rockabilly wardrobes, and of course a ton of clothing for everyone in the family.

Totes and pouches and all kinds of luggables, some made from eco-friendly fabrics and frequently sporting a little animal, and they offer a Build Your Own Bag feature. Patches and pins continue the critter themes in slices of felt.

Clubwear from Amsterdam that draws on fetish, cyber, and trance for stuff that can either be danced in, or looks good while tottering around on spike heels (which they also carry.) Paneled miniskirts, “spider” dresses, nip stickers, hosiery, and futuristic-gladiator wear for men.

This mixed media artist works in “Lost Goddess” dolls, assemblage shrines, and Scrappy Cats handspun balls of yarn, with miniature wearable arrangements in the jewelry section. Vintage kitten earrings trailing metal fringe, Shakespearean sonnets captured in a fall of pearls, cameos flanked by upraised wings, and a flock of birds in the resin and plastics section.

A well-chosen array of finds for men and women spanning the 1850’s through the 1990’s, from ballgowns and retro separates to all the period accessories. Vintage barware, catalogs from back in the day, and even a “graveyard” of as-is salvage possibilities.
