Since 2001, Chateau Bizarre has been dazzling readers with extreme fashion and random weirdness reviewed from tiny neighborhood stores, festival vendors, one-person operations, crafting collectives, and other independents all over the planet. We are are proud to be the first place many amazing enterprises have flaunted their stuff.
The Chateau first started out in Philadelphia, then moved across the country to spend some time in San Francisco, and is now currently residing in Brooklyn.
A graduate of Clarion West 2007, Lilah Wild is a rock’n'roll witchcraft 80’s horror fantasy author whose scrawlings have appeared in various speculative fiction publications. When she’s not elucidating on Old Hollywood screen goddesses or the blood and fire quotient of metal videos that purport to be evil, she can be found shooting zombies, dabbling in bellydancing, and drinking unholy amounts of ink.
The Stray is the programming half of the Chateau. An artist who works in watercolors and stop-motion animation, his off hours are spent playing arcane card games, brewing the green fairy, and occasionally spinning gothabilly.

Pollywog came to us from the SPCA and has since gone on to become Countess von Rumpkinstein, Lolliwog, Dollyhog, Krull, Crabcake, and Bloodlap. A creature formed from ballgown satin and bitchy squacks, she is a devoted box-dweller who has a knack for finding the most expensive thing in the room and then sitting on it. She has been known to change shape for stealthily oozing into unsuspecting warm laps.
Bella is the youngest member of the Chateau household and is often known as Squid, Hey Fatpaws, Snoutbanger, The Golden Eyes of Trouble, Snout in the Dark, Muppet, and Meowl. Born from an unsettling tryst between a Fizzgig and a tasmanian devil, she uses her small size and cute little stumpy ears to attract the fingers of the unwary towards her restless teeth. She is also an unabashed cello-player.
