Bellydance jewels on the more high-end side of things with a collection of silver: hinged vintage cuffs studded with spikes, hoop earrings, pairs of dancing anklets “not for beginners,” headpieces slathered in fringe, lots of ornate and dramatic pieces to enhance an ensemble with lots of shine and noise. Clothes, bags, belts, and other accessories are rich with bright embroidery and they carry things to decorate the home, too.

A Miami Beach “fine art shoe store” that gives bright pop makeovers to footwear and handbags. Ballet flats, platform mules, and ankle-strapped pumps are meticulously handpainted with 80’s-style vamps reminiscent of Patrick Nagel and Roy Lichtenstein, and if you’ve got your eye on a clutch, grab it while you can because it looks like they sell out quickly. And if you’d rather display the ladies on your walls rather than your feet, they also do digital prints.

Dark decor and other Octoberesque delights that draw upon the gently eerie imagery of the 20’s and 30’s. It’s mostly party goods, but oh, what party goods: black cat garlands, dancing witch lanterns, fortunetelling cards drawn with a touch of art nouveau, glittery skull buckets, mini tote bags for the retro-stylish hauling of sugary loot. And what to wear to these parties? Their glass-framed art pendants, batty charm bracelets, and spider cocktail rings, of course.

Pixiefash and decor from Australia. The clothing is very woodland sprite, earthtoned and hooded and pointed and sometimes detailed with photosynthesis-ready veining. And the housewares set the perfect scene, taking the leaves of the forest and transforming them into crushed velvet pillows and blankets for cuddling and rolling around and acting like a happy magical creature in general. Custom welcome.

“Make every day a living nightmare.” A fun catalog of zombie attack lampshades, hockey mask throw pillows, razorblade candles, saw blade clocks, petri dish Christmas ornaments, and decorative jars filled with syringes. Also the home of the “rough night” collection, where shower curtains, sheet sets, and bath mats all coordinate through a matching pattern of bloody splatters and handprints.

This site’s tagline reads: “the ever-expanding online gallery of surrealist, psychedelic, esoteric, outsider, fantastic, toy, lowbrow, comic, erotic and visionary artists.” And there is really not much more to add to that, other than this is an incredible place to kill an hour or two while browsing through their 500-and-growing roster of artists, their works available in art books and limited edition prints.

A rockabilly-pinup-greaser-retro webstore that stocks a lot of smaller brands alongside the better-known works of Switchblade Stiletto, Stop Staring, and Lux DeVille: Cupcake Provacateur’s aprons and poodle potholders, Heartbreaker Fashion’s halter dresses, surreal hot-rod tees from Gasoline Gallery and King Kerosin, flower barrettes from Zombetty Bows, Hawleywood’s hair pomade, lava mugs from Tiki Farm, jewelry from El Dorado club, a good range that covers everything from chic glittery bags to Frankenstein socks. Thanks, Dolly!
