The Poisoned Apple gothic art dollA small cornucopia of gothic ragdolls in cloth and paper mache, covering every dark style from teddy-clutching witchypoo to gauze-draped horror vamp, tattered mermaids and ghostly brides, a section of fabric kitties, and some flat-out creepy imaginings of blood-drenched orphans and eyeless mandrakes. The bags and coffin boxes are handpainted with black-and-white ravens and ghouls, with the photography page full of babydolls in various states of decay. Custom welcome.

The Wyrd Shop pagan moon crownAn occult supercenter stocking a gigantic selection of pagan stuff. Incense, oils, herbs, candles, tarot decks, runes, gemstones, velvet cloaks, cauldrons, books of shadows, loads of jewelry, all the usuals. There’s also a healthy amount of out-of-the-ordinary altar goods sprinkled throughout: athames adorned with triple moons, winged Egyptian chalices, fierce deity statuary, bronze ritual masks, pentacle lockets, and straight-out-of-a-fantasy-movie handmade priestess crowns. Thanks, Sara!

The Ghoulish Gallery changing horror portraitsTransformative portraits created by a special effects monstermaker, where prim Victorians mutate into sneering fiends. No batteries or electric tricks needed, these seem to be the kind of images that change as you walk by them, and hold great promise for messing with casual onlookers.

Gargoyle Statuary Windstone Editions cat candlelampAll kinds of beasties and beyond to decorate the home and garden: vine-betwirled pentacles, Celtic crosses, dragons, fairies, and lots of impy things ready to serve guard duty with a squat and a hiss, along with Windstone Editions’ notorious cuteness. They also carry the fae accessories of Pan’s Horns.

Hyaena Gallery

Hyaena Gallery evil bunny artA fun, fun showcase of the dark, horrific, sexy and weird, where the roster of artists resembles a psychobilly flyer. Dismissing art-world snobbery in favor of unabashed blood, guts, and rock’n'roll (and a sense of humor), the offerings are eclectic and outsider-friendly, presenting a diverse range of often-but-not-always morbid expression. And their mission of accessibility goes both ways, with pricing that moves the ownership of original artwork from an expensive dream into the realm of possibility. Good stuff.
