Harps! Big, full-size, dramatic, Gothic and Celtic harps in cherry and mahogany for folk singing and storytelling and being generally celestial beneath a pair of finely attuned fingernails. They also do dulcimers and psalteries, and the choice of dragon, unicorn, or rose for the scrollcut soundhole provides the final medieval touch. And for the totally musically uninclined, there are doorharps where coming and going is all that’s needed to make pretty noise.
