Fantasy costumes that push way past Halloween-in-a-bag getups into the realms of maximum frill. Trans and plus-size friendly, the designs are an explosion of lolita/french maid/cosplay ruffles – this is a great place for packing on some serious petticoat volume – with some more grownup occupational attire in PVC flight attendant dresses, boss-lady puff-sleeve blouses, military caps, and satin nurse masks. The lingerie is just as frothy, and accessories include tulle hair flowers, heels, wigs, and little lacy bags to match the outfits.

Bathing costumes for sizes 8 through 34. A good range of styles, from fiery flowers bursting across a tank suit, to classic fatale black that takes bust support into consideration. Also coverups that make for cute little hoodies, sheer drawstring pants, and plenty of dresses for strolling along the beach.

A lingerie catalog that carries on in the fine tradition of 80’s trashiness. Don’t bother looking for anything demure here, it’s all designed for supreme shamelessness: leopard babydolls, teddies with cutout sides, gold snakeskin bras outfitted with chains and zips, fringe thongs, the leather page looks straight out of a pop metal video girl’s wardrobe. The accessories top things off with lacy frostings of cuffs, garters, and pasties.

Makers of guitar straps fit for the heaviest of bands – Motorhead is counted among their clients – covered in shiny metallic trim, hippie embroidery, O-rings and buckles, lightning bolts, studded crosses, and for true 80’s pop metal style, conchos! Custom is welcome, and straps can be handcarved, dyed, padded distressed, and stamped to your heart content.

This dance shoe supplier includes gear for lindy hopping in among the ballroom and salsa stuff. Strapped saddles, slingback peeptoe wedges, sharp little oxfords, plaid maryjanes, wild color in the men’s section, a good mix of stuff to swing the night away, many of them repro’d directly from the actual footwear of the forties and fifties. They also stock clothing from Remix Vintage, Stop Staring, Bettie Page, Steady, Vivien of Holloway, and others.

The retail arm of a creative community for art/design/video.music/writing-minded people. Most of the site is devoted to social networking through bands and coffee shops and art galleries and such, but they do have some tees, tanks, longsleever, and polo dresses decorated with art of the street-pop variety: grenade brains, bright sprouts of dandelions, a lone lightning bolt striking from a crowd of clouds, a great place to pick up a hoodie that frames the cleavage in monkey wrenches.

The name sounds like the transformation of beautiful old dresses into reconstructed creations, but not quite. The “vintage” here is in the use of 80’s and 90’s cartoon prints – the typical grist of rave-era phat pants – for corset tops and sweet little side-cinched swing dresses. My Little Pony, Space Invaders, Gremlins, Strawberry Shortcake, and the Nightmare Before Christmas are among the motifs, with some wanderings into tattoo flash, monster movies, and Alice in Wonderland. They don’t do custom, meaning it’s all dresses and bodices for now, but you’re welcome to get them in the print of your dreams – and if you don’t see it on the site, they’re happy to help you find it.
