Notorious journal of the absurd, grotesque, and 100% true, Morbid Curiosity was a collection of confessionals like no other. Encounters with the the taboo were a regular occurrence in Loren Rhoads’ magazine, which ended in 2006. Scribner has recently published a best-of collection gathering together Loren’s all-time favorite stories, giving the world a compendium of real-life weirdness and easing the disappointments of those who keep losing ebay fights over the first few out-of-print issues.
